Review – John Orlando in a letter to the Santa Cruz Sentinal

Over this past weekend, I was privileged to witness one of the most profound classical music performances I have heard in Santa Cruz, which happens to be one of the most exciting centers for the arts in our country, when Rebecca Jackson, founder of the Music in May chamber festival, performed with veteran artists from the Guarneri String Quartet, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and other stellar musicians.

It is on their level of music-making that the supernal beauty of great masterworks is revealed and can demonstrate just how noble the human spirit can be.  We, you and I and our children need to have these kinds of experiences for us to flourish and to heal this troubled world of ours.

Rebecca Jackson is to be commended for her vision, dedication and service to our community in bringing this great cultural experience to Santa Cruz.  Thank you, Rebecca.
